What exactly is Jeuveau®?
Jeuveau® (prabotulinumtoxinA-xvfs) is a prescription botulinum toxin type A treatment. Its FDA-approved cosmetic indication is the temporary improvement of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows in adults.
How soon can I see results?
Some patients begin to show improvement as early as about 2 days after treatment, while results continue to develop over the following weeks. Clinical studies found more fully developed improvement by around Day 30.
How long does Jeuveau® last?
Results are temporary and vary from person to person. Evolus reports visible improvement for many patients at about 4 months, and treatment timing should be individualized based on how your movement returns and your provider's recommendations.
Is Jeuveau® the same as Botox® Cosmetic or Dysport®?
No. Jeuveau®, Botox® Cosmetic and Dysport® are different botulinum toxin type A products with product-specific formulations and dosing. Jeuveau's prescribing information specifically states that its units are not interchangeable with other botulinum toxin products.
Can Jeuveau® be used for forehead lines or crow's feet?
Jeuveau's FDA-approved cosmetic indication is for glabellar lines between the brows. Treatment in other cosmetic areas is considered off-label. Your provider may discuss off-label treatment when clinically appropriate for your anatomy and goals.
Will Jeuveau® make me look frozen?
A particular appearance cannot be guaranteed. Results depend on facial anatomy, dose, placement and the amount of movement you want to preserve. At ERA, treatment is planned around how your face moves with the goal of softening expression lines while maintaining a natural-looking result.
How often can I get Jeuveau®?
Jeuveau's prescribing information states that retreatment should be given no more frequently than every 3 months. Your actual maintenance schedule should be based on your response and your provider's clinical recommendations.
What should I know about Jeuveau® safety and side effects?
Jeuveau® is a prescription medicine and carries important safety information, including a boxed warning about the potential spread of botulinum toxin effects. Tell your provider about your medical history and medications. Seek medical help right away for problems swallowing, speaking or breathing after treatment.
